GUP. Done. Yay!

As of 4 minutes ago, I've submitted my GUP. That's a General User Proposal for experiments at the Advanced Photon Source. Obviously my last experiment wasn't horrible enough to put me off synchrotrons forever.

Total Lunar Eclipse

Last night's evening news reminded me to poke my head outside and check out the lunar eclipse. I obviously wasn't the only one watch abc as I was soon joined by other another Lodger.

If you missed it, here's a picture.

In other exciting news the Boston Red Sox won the World Series breaking the curse of the Bambino which dates back to 1918 when they traded Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. They staged a historic comeback from 3 games down (in a 7 game series) against arch rivals the Yankees in the semis, taking the next 8 games and beating the Cardinals for the title.
