	About 15 minutes into our drive to Forster, we took our driver-revival break at the Australian Reptile Park. Dad had fun tormenting plaster crocs.
Mum ran away from all the nasty looking reptiles - including those behind glass windows.

After a 7 hour stopover in lovely LAX, I clicked my heels together 3 times chanting "There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home." I'm going home.

An exciting new article was published in the JACS website overnight: "Compositional Dependence of Negative Thermal Expansion in the Prussian Blue Analogues M^IIPt^IV(CN)₆ (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd)"
It was a struggle, but it made it in the end. And if I ever review papers in the future, I now know how to really annoy the authors.

Suspicious Package

Morton Arboretum

Its spring in Chicago and all the trees are covered in blossoms. At the arboretum you can get close to nature with all the modern conveniences - holding a hot cup of Starbucks, on trails never more than 1/4 mile from the nearest road.

	Our first antipodean visitor at the Fifth Avenue Station guesthouse. Greg was here for experiments at the APS.
We managed to escape downtown Chicago for a day to see the lakeside and piers.
